Biographical Information
James Charles Mettenbrink

Jim Mettenbrink was born in 1946 and reared in a family of six children on a farm near Grand Island, Nebraska, USA. He served as a communications technician and as a communications maintenance manager for 21 years in the United States Air Force.

Jim has an Associate Degree in communications technology from the Community College of the Air Force; Associate degree in liberal arts from the University of Maryland; Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in religion from Southern Christian University, Montgomery, Alabama.

Although Jim was reared in a Lutheran family, he became a Christian in 1974. Jim began preaching for the churches of Christ in 1979. He has preached for congregations in Germany, Russia, Turkey and Nebraska, USA. He has been a missionary in the Komi Republic of Russia since 1992. He has taught as an adjunct professor of Bible at Southern Christian University. Jim has one son, Craig, whom he raised alone from the age of four, and two grandchildren.
