Glen O. Dods

Glen O. Dods was born in Kincaid, Saskatchewan on May 14, 1937. On March 22, 1958 he was married to Gwen (Belsher) Dods. Gwen is an R.N. who has served as Campus Nurse at Abilene Christian University for ten years. She presently serves as School Nurse for the Abilene Independent School District. Glen and Gwen, who now reside in Abilene, Texas, have four children, Daniel, Timothy, Jacki and Janet, and eleven grandchildren.

Glen attended Freed-Hardeman College in Henderson, Tennessee, from 1961 to 1963. He attended Oklahoma Christian College in 1971-1972 where he received his B.A. Degree. He took selected post graduate courses at Abilene Christian University during the 1982-1984 years.

He has worked in church ministry in Tennessee and Alabama (while attending school), Dauphin, Manitoba (1963-1968), and Edmonton, Alberta (1968-1974). In 1974 he accepted the position as President of Western Christian College, which position he held until 1977. From 1977 to 1981 Glen was self-employed, and resided in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. From 1982 to 1992 he served as pulpit minister in three churches, in Abilene, Hawley and Colleyville, Texas. He is presently self-employed in his own business in Abilene, Texas.

In addition to his regular work, Glen has participated in the Weyburn Rotary Club and Toastmasters International. While working with the church in Edmonton, Alberta, he hosted a radio program, "Religious Forum" for four years. This program dealt with religion and morality. He had previously conducted radio programs in Dauphin (5 minutes daily for four years), Thompson (15 minutes weekly for two years), and Portage la Prairie (25 minutes weekly for two years. In addition he has conducted Gospel meetings, seminars, and lectures at various places on a regular basis.
